The only 2 thing that botheted me a bit in the movie were. The tank looked cgi or cardboard And godzilla eyes... never blink, always stare up front like they couldn’t move. The again it may reenforce the scary part of him

I don’t agree on godzilla beeing "evil" he is just an animal, a natural catastrophy. The movie is really great in many way as you pointed out. See post war japan, the stigmate, the way the country valued life during war. It feel you can empathie with the pain of the charactrrs. For the budget part i think not having hollywood stars actor helped a lot. And beside godzilla scene, human one were often in closed space ( the mc home, the crowed market, cities hall) or just in the ocean. It is a more grounded into reality than bb movie. And it help in the immersion. Lastly japan movie and animation or anime make me.... feel? Emotions more than any other i think

100% osha and Mae were the worst thing about the show. Especially Osha. She is one of the most passive protagonists I think I've ever seen in a show/movie

D&D a fine when they have source material to work with, but the end is their writing and it shows. They fucked it so bad at the end I've never watched it again and probably never will.

Having corporate china taking over a large part of hollywood from behind the sceenes isnt helping much, either. Communism and creativity mix like oil and water. Everything these days in the movies is woke propaganda in order to destroy the nation, and hollywood was a large part of america's power and influence, around the world. I like to call it warfare -- 21st century style. And gavin newsome has butchered the city and state to bits. Inflation hasn't helped much, either. The higher the tickets prices went up -- the lower the quality of the films became. I recently heard that something like that is now happening with mc donalds ever since they hiked the hourly wage of their employees up to $20. I wonder how many humans are going to be fired to make that wage increase balance out? Not the most brilliant move. I guess we can blame it on the fractional reserve banking system -- ultimately. The only hope of saving hollywood and the nation, would be to bring a businessman like trump back in to wheel and deal on an international level. Otherwise, the whole country is teetering on the cusp of going third world. Maybe if americans traveled outside of the country more, they'd see the truth of what's happening to the nation in the eyes of the world. Listen -- you either choose love (for your nation) -- or hate (for trump). The outcome of a thing is often determined by the underlying motives for doing it: love, or hate? Positive, or negative? There isn't much time left for america to wake up -- she's been asleep at the wheel for quite some time.

You can't progress anything by reminiscing. Member berries don't make new ideas, they reflect on old ones. That's why you can't save the MCU with whatever Deadpool & Wolverine did. It was a blast from the past, nothing else. The "plot" is entirely forgettable. The character interactions matter here.

The problem with HOTD isn’t people’s attention spans, it’s that it jumps time so frequently you never get to know your characters. Some of the children go from babies to teens to dead in a couple episodes. I don’t really care about them or their death because I don’t know them. Likewise, the main characters are clearly established as main characters and obviously have plot armor. It took GOT like 4 seasons to establish who was wearing plot armor. HOTD tells you in the first episode. That said, HOTD is decent but I wouldn’t say it’s “back to form, peak GOT”

I'd say Sansa is pretty justified in disliking Danaerys early on. Her father murdered her grandfather and uncle.

When I was watching 'Godzilla Minus One', I thought I was going to be bored by the focus on the people instead of beat them up kaiju. Yet, I started to become engage with them and then to care for them as you saw how they overcame the odds to achieve some semblance of a normal life in a war torn city. When Godzilla showed up to do his thing, it was like I really wanted them to beat Godzilla and survive. Suffice to say, when I saw 'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire', it was like yeah, typical Hollywood kaiju film, see once and that's it. I've no desire to watch it again. But I've watched Godzilla Minus One, including the B&W version, and I always seem to find something new to appreciate and enjoy. To say I was shocked to find out that it costs USD15million to produce it was almost unbelievable as the special effects were so first class and appropriate!

We’re lucky to have this film even made, and I haven’t had this much “fun” after seeing a movie in what feels like forever. I’ve watched the bye bye bye intro like 20 times. But the MCU won’t be saved until we see Fantastic 4 and X-men rebooted. Everything in between is just noise that I wish Disney would have just canceled

I don’t think Lucas film starts with a script. Looks like you just pitch them some characters and setting- “kill bill meets frozen” and be a good friend of Weinstein, and the show is yours. They make up the script as they go along.

It's legitimately insane that the White Walker confrontation did NOT take place over a whole season. To where it feels hopeless and they have to keep falling back and regrouping in the face of their terrible onslaught. The last two episodes of the season should have been their last ditch desperate plan to kill him. All of that build up, to end it in a SINGLE FUCKING EPISODE is just criminal.

You're kinder to S6 & S7 then I am. Battle kf the Bastards in S6 is pretty bad. There's a couple very quick scenes that look neat, but there are parts that are so goofy I laughed out loud, like something from Monty Python

This movie was so sexist and honestly lowkey misogynist - the female characters just exist as one dimensional, unhappy, dissatisfied, lifeless, soulless side characters that just exist as props for the main character to react to. You have the sexy, crazy, manic pixie girl who’s also so sad (Florence Pugh) and the frigid, passive aggressive, Mary sue wife (Emily blunt) - 2 female stereotypes/tropes that so many all-male writing teams often default to. You even have the Madonna-“wh*re” depiction of women - women are either the chick you marry or the chick you bang but either way, there’s no nuanced understanding of women and the shortcut to make these female characters seem “deep” is to make them depressed or crazy. You can just tell men with no real understanding or insight into of the minds and lives of women is who wrote this movie. The female characters are written like what a self involved male chauvinists or male narcissists’ perception of what women are supposedly like - these one dimensional, surface level beings. I doubt there was a single female writer involved in writing this movie.

I loved this movie, and I know this movie has flaws, but it is just so entertaining and fun it is hard to make a big deal about the flaws because it is just so fun. However, I actually thought the movie was too short. I felt like the movie was rushing through its plot, not leaving the audience enough time to understand Cassandra Nova's turn to use the time ripper and it also made the heartfelt moments too short, with them quickly being intercepted with a joke afterwards or a fight scene. For example, when Deadpool is talking about his world in one picture, Logan insults Wade in a tremendous Wade, but probably thirty seconds after that crazy roast, instead of letting the audience soak in on the emotion and heart of the moment, for the movie's pacing purpose, they go on into another fight scene. It is an incredible fight scene, but I felt like that as how every heartfelt moment went. It was there, and not even a minute later, it was gone, just not letting it stick the landing, and helping the movie feel like it was going way too fast. Don't get me wrong, I still love the movie, but I feel like thirty or even twenty extra minutes could have fleshed out more character moments and make the movie make more sense and not feel like it was rushing its frankly crammed story.

The movie wasn't great, and didn't really contribute anything major to the MCU, however it was so Nostalgic and Fun that it's easy to dismiss all its flaws. So nah, it didn't save the MCU. What made the MCU great was that up until after Endgame, you felt you needed to watch every movie (that's why Captain Marvel did $1 billion) to enjoy the payoff in the next one. That's mostly been lost. It's really dependent on what happens in Captain America and Fantastic 4, and whether or not they show some kind of common direction leading into the Avengers films.

Anyone notice how the Dothraki charged at the dead for no reason with a highly experienced Jorah Mormont foolishly joining in and somehow surviving? That was probably the peak of plot armor. The long night in my opinion should have lasted at least a month of the show timeline. We should have seen the whole of Westeros from Winterfell to the Westerlands and Crownlands fight the dead while they go about destroying major castles along the way to KingsLanding. Every night, I have nightmares about the ending of this show.

Does this movie count as a MCU movie?

Marvel needs to stop requiring everything to connect to their universe. Eventually we need some Marvel equivalents to films like Joker and The Batman that are completely separate and self contained and are more with artistic integrity. Even Logan is technically an elseworlds story despite starring Hugh as it’s not canon to the original X-Men continuity and set in a universe where the X-Men were over exaggerated to the public.

Call me crazy but I had "Blues Brothers" vibes thtoughout the entire movie. Not only because of the two characters that remembered me a lot of Jake and Elwood, but meaning that it shows that sometimes you don't need the perfect plot or the perfect villain, but just a movie made with heart, to be entertained. And I was. And yes, it's probably the first Marvel movie since Infinity War that I would watch a second time in theater.

..... and another thing..... Going to the cinema is no longer a pleasant experience. Who wants to pay $$$ to sit with people who have no idea of theatre etiquette, and sit there on their phones, talking and/or munching away on junk?
